It’s certainly pleasing to see the sun shining today after the recent wet weather experienced. A further 87mm of rain fell on Thursday and we have now registered 355mm of rain this month.
The course will benefit from the soaking over the past week or so and we all look forward to playing golf again. Right now, however, we need some time for the course to dry out and we expect to be given this opportunity over the next two days.
As a result the course will be closed on Saturday, 15 February 2020.
Provided we don’t receive any further significant rain we will re-open the course for walkers only on Sunday, 16 February 2020.
The new dates for our Honour Board/Major Events affected by the course closure after the past week will be communicated to Members shortly in a seperate communication.
A reminder the Clubhouse, golf shop and practice facilities including the driving range will be open tomorrow.
