Joe Janison is the Director of Golf at The Brisbane Golf Club and is responsible for the co-ordination & delivery of golf tuition. He is a Certified Member of the PGA of Australia with an ‘Advanced’ status in coaching and has almost 20 years’ experience assisting golfers to improve their game. He himself has been a student to some of the country’s best coaches including former Head Teaching Professional of The Brisbane Golf Club, Murray Lott, and Ian Triggs, a former winner of the PGA of Australia Teacher of The Year Award and coach to the likes of Karrie Webb and John Senden. Joe was the Queensland PGA Trainee of the Year in 2004 and is the winner of four PGA trainee tournaments. He is also a graduate of the Dave Pelz Scoring Game School in Colorado, USA. In 2022, Joe was named the State and National PGA Club Professional of the Year. His teaching philosophy is that the simple approach is often the best and the ultimate goal should always be to increase the level of enjoyment for each individual golfer. His areas of expertise are putting and course strategy and he says his most famous student is Professor Russell Strong, who pioneered the liver transplant in 1989.

Lee Eagleton is a member of the PGA of Australia with an ‘Advanced’ status in coaching. He is also the founder of Elevation Golf. In 2006 he was named the Queensland PGA Trainee of the Year and in the same year was awarded the prestigious Australian PGA Trainee of the Year. Lee was the first Australian to win the US Southern Amateur and still remains one of only two Australians to win that event in its 107 year history. He is also a former winner of the Queensland Men’s Amateur Championships, the Men’s Tasmanian Open and the Riversdale Cup, which is the second oldest amateur golf tournament in Australia. He turned professional in 1997 and played on the PGA Tour of Australasia and the Asian Tour. Lee uses the latest coaching technologies including TrackMan to help his students improve their game. Lee has a passion for club fitting and we strongly recommend that you book in to see him before you purchase your next set of golf clubs. His coaching philosophy is keeping things simple to ensure his students are learning to play golf, not just learning a golf swing.

Asha graduated from the PGA of Australia Academy in 2019, being awarded 1st Place in the National Titleist – Footjoy Excellence in Education Awards in her final year. Since then Asha has continued her education & training through some of the world’s leading organisations including the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI), where she has attained her Golf – Level 2 & Junior – Level 2 Coaching certifications. Asha currently co-ordinates the BGC Junior Academy, along with our highly successful Ladies Lets Golf program. She has a passion for improving golfers of all ages & levels to achieve their potential, specifically in the areas of short game & course management.

Ben Williams is a fully qualified A Certified Member of the PGA of Australia and completed his NZPGA traineeship at Royal Auckland and The Grange Golf Club, where he coached for two years and then played professionally through New Zealand until moving to Melbourne in 2013. While playing through Asia on the MENA Tour (throughout Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the UAE) as well as the PGA Tour of Australasia, Ben based himself at Capital Golf Club in Melbourne. Three years ago, he moved to Indooroopilly, working in both Golf Operations as well as coaching, with a major focus on juniors, Women’s and private tuition, while also providing club fitting expertise to members, and then had s six-month stint at Brookwater. He joined the BGC team in September this year, and as well as his other duties will be working in the Golf Shop for up to 30 hours per week.
