Deb Kember

President - Deb Kember

Deb is an experienced non-executive Director with AICD accreditation and an educator with PhD qualifications. She joined the Club in 1990 and was elected President in 2023 after serving as Vice President 2020-2023. In 2022 she established the Golf Leaders Network of club board members across Australia. Deb’s efforts modernising golf club governance were acknowledged by Golf Australia at the 2024 R&A Charter Awards by naming her the Most Influential Woman in Golf.

Geoff Morre

Vice President - Geoff Moore

Geoff has recently retired following 40 years working in the local finance sector. He has been a member of our club since 1985, 13 of those in various committee positions and is looking forward to many more years of golfing. He is a Jp (qual), servicing our community for 30 years. A proud Husband, Father and Grandfather.

Andrew Mullis

Hon. Treasurer - Andrew Mullis

Andrew is a Chartered Accountant with a Master of Applied Finance and over 35 years of experience in financial and general management. Following 10 years with accounting firm KPMG in Brisbane and London, Andrew moved into the commercial accounting field and has worked with a number of public and private companies with international interests. Andrew joined The Brisbane Golf Club in 2010 and has recently semi retired.

Dean Castrisos

Men's Captain - Dean Castrisos

Dean has been a Member of The Brisbane Golf Club for 37 years and is a low handicap golfer who has represented the Club in Pennants. Dean holds a Bachelor of Dental Science and has run his own dental practice since 1997. He has served on the University of Queensland Cricket Club Committee and was President of the University of Queensland Dental Students in 1995.

Women's Captain - Julie Brown

Julie retired ten years ago and about that time joined The Brisbane Golf Club as a beginner and has since been trying to make up for lost time to improve her handicap. Her working life as a pharmacist encompassed roles across community, hospital, and drug information services, working in Sydney, Cairns and Brisbane. A proud wife, mother and grandmother who enjoys visiting her family in Melbourne.

Fiona Elsdon

Committee - Fiona Elsdon

Fiona has worked for over 25 years as an environmental policy and compliance specialist and has qualifications in both science and law. Fiona continues a long family association with The Brisbane Golf Club, being one of four generations to have been a member. She joined in 1992 and has played Pennants for the club for most of that time. Fiona has captained the Weekend Pennant Team and was the Weekend Representative on the Ladies Committee in the late nineties.

Richard Garnham

Committee - Richard Garnham

Richard is a Registered Landscape Architect and Urban Designer with over 30 years experience in private consulting practice, including as a Senior Principal with Tract; a large national independent Planning, Urban Design and Landscape Architecture firm. Richard joined the Club in 2003 and since 2012 has been involved with and supported course planning initiatives, including the preparation of and ongoing delivery of the Landscape Masterplan.

Patrick Dixon

Committee - Patrick Dixon

Patrick Dixon is one of the real estate industry’s most respected identities. His achievements were recognised in the REIQ awards, including several honours as REIQ Agent and Agency of the Year. Patrick featured in the book ‘Prime Property: success secrets from Australia’s real estate leaders’, was a founding member and chair of the Leading Agents of Australia network and is a Fellow of the REIQ. He is also the author of “150 years of Brisbane River Housing” with 100% of sales donated to the Mater Foundation. His father Dr James Dixon was president of BGC from 1964 to 1967. Patrick was on the committee from 2011 to 2017 and was Chair of Members Services.

Committee - Greg Mitchell

Greg has over 30 years of experience in the horticultural industry, including 20 years specialising in the management of parklands and urban greenspaces. Throughout his career, Greg has had the privilege of working at some of Australia’s and Brisbane’s most iconic parklands and resorts. His focus has been on delivering exceptional horticultural outcomes while enhancing visitation, events, and activations.
