To celebrate the 125th years of both The Brisbane Golf Club and our reciprocal club, Toowoomba Golf Club, there will be the inaugural playing of the Celebration Cup, to be played at Toowoomba Golf Club on Sunday, 12 September.
The format will be a medley single stableford played between 36 members from each Club. It will be a 12.30pm shotgun start with a dinner at the Toowoomba Golf Club to follow the afternoon round. There are only 36 spots available to golfers and the numbers are expected to fill quickly.
Two Members from each club will play in the same group. The top 25 scores will count from both Clubs to determine the winner of the Celebration Cup. There is no minimum number of scores from men and women.
The best mens’ and ladies’ score from each club will be recognized, as well as a rundown from the event.
The cost will be $50 for each player including green fees, competition fees and dinner. This will be deducted from your house account one week prior to the day. Partners are welcome to attend the dinner at a cost of $40.
The nomination sheet for BGC members is available by clicking here.
Anyone wishing to use a motorised cart can do so and it is recommended they contact Toowoomba Golf Club to ensure a booking. Costs are to be paid for by the individual (or pair).
Please let Geoff Kuehner or myself know no less than one week prior if you wish to bring a guest so final numbers can be confirmed for catering purposes and payment can be arranged.
BGC will reciprocate the event in the 2022 season at a date yet to be confirmed.
