Introducing young people to golf and assisting in the development of their skills underpins the long-term future of our great game.
The Brisbane Golf Club is committed to the development of junior golfers through Junior membership, Junior Golf Academy & school coaching programs. We welcome all junior golfers to become a part of our friendly & supportive culture, which provides the perfect environment for junior golfers to reach their potential.
Key objectives of the program consist of:
Our Junior Academy is available exclusively for Junior Members of the Club. The Junior Academy program currently consists of 8 levels, all designed to progressively assist in developing physical, technical, mental & strategic skills. Our TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) certified coaches ensure the students receive as much individual assistance as possible by maintaining a maximum 5:1 Student / Coach ratio. Sessions are conducted during the school term on Saturdays (B1-B5), Tuesdays (B7) & Wednesdays (B8). Junior Holiday clinics are also available to attend during the school holidays. The initial goal for all students in the Junior Academy is to progress through the levels, enabling them to achieve a Golf Australia handicap and become long term Members of The Brisbane Golf Club.
For junior golfers that are playing competitively & wanting to further develop their skills, the Junior Academy offers a High Performance program. The program is primarily focussed on preparing the students for tournament play & utilises professional consultants to ensure the correct advice is given for each individual. The program is by application only & requires a minimum 12 month commitment.
