2018 Charity Year
Your committee is pleased to announce we will be supporting the Friends of HEAL (Home of Expressive Arts & Learning) Foundation for our 2018 charity. Based at Milpera State School in Chelmer, the fHEAL Foundation provides creative arts and music therapy to young people of refugee backgrounds to help them settle, embrace their new identities and attain better mental-health outcomes. Please visit the fHEAL Foundation website https://fheal.com.au to learn how our fundraising activities through 2018 will assist this exceptional program.
Charity Year Recipe Book – Everyone is invited to contribute to the High Tea Recipe Book. Recipes required by Thursday, 1 February 2018. Email to helen@brisbanegolfclub.com.au.
Important Changes to Trophy Allocations
With ladies’ trophy donations now processed via our Annual Subscriptions, and due to the willingness of so many of our members to donate a $35 trophy this year, the opportunity arose for your committee to trial a complete overhaul of the trophy allocation procedures. All trophy donors for 2018 (excluding AGM trophy donors) are no longer allocated to a specific event. This has enabled all Tuesday and Saturday competition winners to now receive a $40 voucher, and our Monthly Medal winners to receive the medal and a $30 voucher. A list of all trophy donors is posted in the locker room, and all donors are sincerely thanked by your committee and fellow golfers for your support and generosity. If you have any questions about your trophy donation, please see either Helen, Elaine or Sue Rapson.
